Back Up Needed to Arrest a Man and Woman

Richard Longoria

September 4, 2008

Two suspects were taken into police custody on Thursday early evening, but it was not without a fight.

It happened in the 4900 block of Lavaca just before 6:30PM Thursday.

A Nueces County Constable was trying to serve warrants on a man and a woman as they were leaving their home. When the officer tried to arrest the suspects, they began to fight back. More officers converged on the scene.

Police reportedly found marijuana on one of the suspects.

Is channel 3 so desperate to fill air time that they send out the troops to film a man and woman getting arrested? Does channel 3 follow these pesky constables everyday all day long as they try and serve warrants? I hardly find this newsworthy. So, what are the arrestees suspected of? Constables and all their drama scenes give law enforcement a bad name. Thats why they are out serving warrants instead of on the police force!

What exactly were the warrants for? Did you know the male officers routinely frequent the females in the Nueces County Jail. The even gather around and watch the females who get cavity search and in one case I know participated. Should this be occurring in our Nueces County Jail. Pull the intake video and view it. They got it going on with the clothed plumpy female jailers who humiliate, unclothe and try to avail males to women who are in custody. To them it is entertainment.

What exactly does your headline mean? As the mother of two boys in law enforcement I find it very disrepectfull. Whos side is channel 3 on?
